The dust has settled. After hundreds of Dota matches across the Open and Regional Qualifiers, eight teams have emerged victorious. These teams will now join the directly invited teams to make up the final sixteen that will compete at The Frankfurt Major.



Already, the road to The Frankfurt Major has been packed with excitement as both veteran and rookie teams have proven their worth. While former champions Alliance, Invictus Gaming, and NewBee made a return to prominence, extremely solid play was seen from Fnatic, Cloud9, Mineski and (Monkey) Business. Especially impressive were Team Unknown, a Peruvian squad who entered the Open Qualifiers and then fought all the way to the Main Event through the Americas Qualifiers.

The Main Event for The Frankfurt Major will take place at Festhalle Messe in Frankfurt, Germany this November 16 through 21. The sixteen teams will battle over six days, using the same Main Event format as The International, to claim their piece of the $3,000,000 prize pool.

- Fixed some problems downloading the compendium.

- Added the "dota_export_steam_inventory_layout" console command which saves the Collection layout to the steam inventory.
- Fixed a crash during Alt+Tab.

* Temporarily disabled top live game cell on the home page while we fix some load issues

- Fixed a new bug with Spectating in DotaTV.

New to the Armory, the Collection view gives you a fully customizable space to easily arrange and organize your favorite items. With the help of a new filter to show items that aren’t already in the Collection, you can design your Armory in the way you see fit. If you had a previous layout that you liked from the legacy interface, you'll be able to use a command to import that layout over. We've also added a new notification to the Armory to quickly see your most recently acquired items at a glance.

The new Item Details interface for customizing your items with gems has been enabled as well. You can access the Item Details panel by double-clicking on an item in the Armory. Additionally, the chat interface now allows you to share your party or lobby directly in any chat channel, making it easier for others to join you for a match.

- Fixed a bug that could cause the client to crash when there is an update
- Various pathfinding fixes

- Fixed spectate button on friends list sometimes not working
- Cosmetic items icons and previews in the loadout screens now indicate whether there are gems or sockets on the items
- Fixed checkerboards appearing on econ item tooltips for older items associated with brands such as DK's spectator gem
- Color gem icons now correctly reflect the color of the gem
- Fixed a bug in the customize screen where sometimes items with styles were showing up as equipped even though they weren't
- Improved the behavior of the item details magnifying glass on the hero loadout page to bring you directly to the item if you're not viewing a set
- Enabled individual item controls on the customize screen to bring you to the item details page
- Tooltip for gem items now show any required hero and/or hero slot associated with the gem
- Fixed issue where negative lights would not render, causing certain effects to not render properly (such as Enigma's World Chasm Artifact)
- Updated Lina's Arcana feet textures
- Fixed Lone Druid hitbox
- Fixed missing barracks in the watch live panels
- Fixed various Fissure cosmetic visuals
- Fixed display of Nyx Dagon game geometry
- Fixed inconsistent behavior when activating Fire Remnant while using Sleight of Fist
