Additionally, today's release makes a change to the item slots used by Chen's mounts. Instead of slots for both a mount and the mount's armor, Chen will now have a single item slot for his mount, and any armor will be included in the mount's model. To fit the hero's new item slot requirements, older Chen mounts will be converted from two separate items into one item. This should allow for the release of higher quality Chen mounts in the future.

- Added an in-game hero inspection panel.
- Teleport destination effects now show a visual indicator of the teleporting hero.
- The maximum rank new accounts can calibrate to has been lowered.
- Fixed a bug with item right-click menus sometimes requiring two clicks.

For this weekend we are testing some changes to matchmaking:
- Parties can only play in unranked matches.
- Ranked matchmaking no longer has Captain ™s Mode or Random Draft.
- Unranked All Pick now follows the same picking order as Ranked All Pick.

The next Dota 2 Major Championship is just over the horizon, and we are pleased to announce which teams will be invited to Kiev in April for a chance to claim the Mystic Staff trophy and stand triumphant in the vanguard of Dota's elite.

Eight teams have earned direct invites to The Kiev Major, and starting at 7AM PST, these top squads will be revealed one at a time every five minutes inside the Battle Pass Compendium. Head over to the Compendium section for the countdown timer.

The final eight teams will be determined in the crucible of the Qualifiers. While China and SEA each retain two Qualifier slots as in the past, the European Qualifiers have been split into EU and CIS Qualifiers, and the Americas Qualifiers have similarly changed to NA and SA Qualifiers, with one tournament spot up for grabs in each eligible region.

Open Qualifiers for The Kiev Major will be held on March 6 – 9, and the Regional Qualifiers will follow on March 10 – 13. Once the dust has settled, the winning eight teams will have earned the right to face off against the direct invites at The Kiev Major on April 27 – April 30 at the National Palace of Arts Ukraine. - Boots of Travel now works like a teleport scroll when teleporting to a tower. If the tower dies during the teleport, this will no longer cancel a boots of travel teleport to the tower. Teleporting to other units is unchanged.
- Added a new teleport destination selection effect.

Winter Treasure II is now available, featuring Underlord's item set debut, as well as new sets for Silencer, Lifestealer, Lina, Death Prophet, Broodmother, Batrider, and Keeper of the Light. Each treasure also offers the chance to unlock a Very Rare Sniper set or Extremely Rare Disruptor set.

Today's update also introduces a new feature that allows you to request item suggestions from your teammates. Click the Request Suggestion button in the top left of your shop window to try it out.

In Workshop and Armory news, we're continuing our improvements to Keeper of the Light with a change to the item slots used by his faithful mounts. From now on, rather than dedicating item slots to both his mount and that mount's armor, Ezalor will have a single slot for his mount, and any armor will be included in the mount's model itself. This should allow for higher quality single-asset mounts, and help support the release of more Keeper of the Light sets in the future.

As a side effect of this upgrade, older Keeper of the Light mounts and their armor will be converted from two separate items into one in order to fit the hero's new item slot requirements. Owners of these older sets can find the new combined versions in their Armory.
