We've been impressed with the quality of items in the Collectors Cache and want to continue finding exciting new ways to feature quality community items. If you would like any single items or sets to be considered for release in conjunction with our Fall Dota Major Tournament, please submit your work to the DotA 2 workshop no later than 04:00:00 PDT on the morning of Monday August 24, 2015 (4am Seattle time). While we will choose which items should have ability particle effects and will handle implementing them ourselves, you should still keep them in mind when concepting and designing your items. There's no need to follow any specific themes or use any event tags.

Immortal Treasure III has arrived. Exclusive to Compendium owners, Immortal Treasure III contains new items for Bristleback, Gyrocopter, Witch Doctor, Invoker, Nature's Prophet, Meepo, Templar Assassin, and Zeus. If you're lucky, you could earn a golden version of Gyrocopter's immortal item, or a golden style unlock for Almond the Frondillo. Increase your Compendium level to earn more treasures and complete the set.



We've also released an alternate style for Almond the Frondillo. If your Compendium has reached level 125 or higher, you'll receive the Red Style unlock.

Inscribed on the back with the year and a gold finished insignia signifying this year's theme, the Collector's Aegis is a symbol to reward those whose Compendium Level has reached 1000.



After the conclusion of the grand finals of The International, we will send the Collector's Aegis to all players with a Compendium Level of 1000 or above. Unlike our traditional Test client, your match history, MMR, cosmetic items, and friends are shared across the two versions. However, Ranked Matchmaking is not enabled yet. We anticipate that we'll be able to turn it on in a few days, but we need more testing of the basic functionality first. Also, it is possible new items may make their first appearance in either the beta or the main client. These items may be temporarily missing from the other client while their assets are converted.

As you explore the beta, you’ll notice a few features aren’t fully functional yet, but we encourage you to play regularly and send us your feedback. We'll be updating the client frequently over the coming weeks as we bring everything online.

Custom Games are new experiences that are created by the community, and playable within Dota 2. These games can be anything from a grand brawl between ten Invokers, to a story-driven dungeon adventure, to something creative that no one has seen before. For us, Custom Games represent a continuation of the tradition that gave birth to Dota, Team Fortress and Counter-Strike. We'd like to build an ecosystem where you can experience something new every time you launch Dota 2.
